The man accused of murdering rapper XXXTentacion just had his first appearance in court and will not see the light of day anytime soon.
Wearing an orange jumpsuit, Dedrick Williams stayed silent in court as the judge rattled off his charges, including first-degree murder. He also has counts for a probation violation and driving without a valid license.
The judge ruled that there was enough probable cause to charge him for the alleged crimes, and that he be given no bond.
Williams' public defender tried pleading his case to get bond, arguing that prosecutors apparently have no "live witness" corroboration for the charges, but the judge didn't buy it.
Williams will be held without bond, and also had a probation violation hearing scheduled for next Monday.
As we reported, Williams appeared to be bragging about the shooting the day after XXXTentacion was gunned down.
