The man behind bars for allegedly playing a role in XXXTentacion’s murder is demanding to be allowed to hire a gang expert to testify in his defense during the trial.
On November 14, Dedrick Williams filed court documents in his criminal case asking the court to approve him hiring an audio and video forensics expert, along with a person who is an expert in gangs.
Williams is asking for the court to pay $20,000 for him to hire the A/V forensics expert, claiming, “Analysis of said evidence is critical to the Defendant’s case and his right to due process.”
The suspect says he needs an additional $10,000 to hire a gang expert, believing that it is “necessary to retain this expert to investigate and educate” his lawyers and eventually a jury, “the manner in which gang affiliation affects this case and any and all defenses available to the defense.”
Previously, Williams was granted $30,000 to hire an electronic evidence expert and a private investigator.
