Talkshow host Wendy Williams just announced she will be taking three weeks off from her live show to treat Graves' disease and hyperthyroidism.
Williams just made the announcement Wednesday morning during a live broadcast of her hit talk show "The Wendy Williams Show."
In a statement to The Blast, reps for Wendy said, "yesterday, Wendy's doctor prescribed a necessary three weeks of rest to get her levels and medication in sync. The show will be in repeats during this unplanned hiatus. A live show was produced today so that Wendy could speak directly to her fans and explain her condition."
The revelation comes as somewhat of a shock to her massive fan base who've been questioning if she was 100% on social media recently.
Last week Wendy from Jersey was visibly a bit shaky during a broadcast and then, for the first time ever, took a few days off.
Wendy is known for basically pushing through anything and everything to make sure she never misses a day of work.
On Halloween of last year, the host actually passed out during the broadcast and needed no more than the commercial break to recover and continue her show.
Graves disease has to do with an overactive thyroid. Williams has been open about her struggle with the condition for years.
We are wishing Wendy wishing her a speedy recovery and can't wait to have her back on the air!
