A woman in Hartford is under arrest after an unprovoked attack on a police officer.

Detectives were in a residential area to tow a car that had been reported stolen.

An arrest was made, but the woman was not involved in any way.

After the car was towed, a woman came out of her house with a knife.

She sprinted towards police officers and swung the knife at an officer’s face and neck.

Police officers managed to subdue her on the ground.

From there, she proceeded to try to attack the officers by biting their shoes.

This is the second unprovoked attack on Hartford police officers in recent weeks.

In October, a man walked up to a police cruiser and fired at the officer sitting inside at point-blank range.
