Will Smith reflected on his infamous Oscar incident in a recent interview.

At the time, the actor slapped his Hollywood colleague Chris Rock for joking about his wife's alopecia.

"I was gone," Smith said on "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah."

He added, "That was a rage that had been bottled for a really long time."

On the show, the "Gemini Man" said he was "going through something" at the time.

"That's not who I want to be," the actor said, regretting his actions.

Smith was banned from the Oscars for ten years after the incident.

He is set to return to the big screen in an upcoming film "Emancipation."

In a different interview, he acknowledged that people might not be ready to watch his new project.
