“Pirates of the Caribbean” hasn’t released a movie since 2017.

“Dead Men Tell No Tales” was the last “Pirates” movie to be released in theaters.

Depp was reportedly going to be paid $22.5 million for his role in “Pirates 6.”

However, Depp claims he was let go from the franchise due to Amber Heard’s abuse allegations.

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer recently spoke with the U.K.'s The Sunday Times about the film.

Bruckheimer was asked if there was a potential for Depp to return to the franchise.

“Not at this point,” he said. “The future is yet to be decided.”

However, he revealed there are two “Pirates” reboots currently in development.

“We are developing two Pirates scripts — one with [Margot Robbie], one without,” he said.
