Whoopi Goldberg has rebuffed criticism that Mel Brooks' 1975 satire "Blazing Saddles" is too racist for viewers.

The seasoned host defended the movie from online attacks while hosting “The View.”

Goldberg praised "Blazing Saddles" as a terrific comedy with valuable lessons.

She urged fans to watch it and warned critics to stay off.

Co-host Sara Haines also stated that comedians needed a safe area to work on potential difficulties for today's viewers.

Mindy Kaling had previously stated that "The Office" would be deemed inappropriate today because people's taste has changed.

The actress said she wasn't planning on introducing the comedy series to her two children, Katherine, 4, and Spencer, 2.

Kaling starred on the show across eight seasons, leaving a season before its finale.

She said her character on the show would get canceled in the present day.
