Whoopi Goldberg has apologized for recently reiterating her comments that the Holocaust was never “about race.”

She released a statement apologizing for and clearing up her recent comments and said she was just trying to explain herself.

Goldberg also stated that her support for Jewish people has never wavered and it will never.

She shared her sincere apologies to everyone offended by her recent statements and said she has always stood with Jewish people.

Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League called her recent remarks “disappointing” and “deeply offensive.”

Goldberg went viral again for reiterating her January comments on the Holocaust and saying she didn’t understand the controversy.

She also insisted that many Jewish people are split over whether they’re a race or religion.

She first made the comments during a discussion about the Tennessee school ban on the graphic novel "Maus" by Art Spiegelman.

As a result, Goldberg was suspended from her co-host position on “The View.”
