Many fans are wondering when “House of the Dragon” will premiere on HBO.

“House of the Dragon” is the prequel series to the popular “Game of Thrones.”

Unfortunately, there is still no release date for the series.

HBO Chief Content Officer Casey Bloys sat down with Deadline to explain why.

Bloys said that they were being “cautious” because they were filming in a pandemic.

He says that they didn’t want to declare a date and then have to shut down.

However, filming has now wrapped and they are officially “out of production.”

They are still trying to figure out what date would be best to debut the new series.

It is expected to be available to stream some time in 2022.
