“The Wendy Williams Show” is transitioning to a new era later this year.

After months of continuous absence, Wendy Williams will be replaced by Sherri Shepherd.

On the heels of this new era, Williams’ ex-husband Kevin Hunter is suing the show’s production company.

Hunter filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Debmar-Mercury.

He claimed he was fired on the basis of his marital status after Williams filed for divorce in 2019.

Hunter alleged his termination led to an immense economic loss ranging from $7-$10 million,

He also takes credit for creating some of the show’s segment such as “Hot Topics.”

Hunter is asking the production company for nothing less than $7 million.

He’s also seeking punitive damages and asking for cost legal fees and proceedings to be covered.
