On Friday, April 1, on April Fool's Day, Miley Cyrus told her fans on Twitter that she had contracted COVID-19 from her Latin America tour.

She called the infection, "worth it" and fans are unhappy at her insensitive wording

While she called her Latin America tour successful, it was full of plenty of adventurous and tragic incidents.

Cyrus was supposed to perform on the second day of Paraguay’s Asunciónico festival on March 23 but never made it to Paraguay.

Her plane was hit by lightning and had to make an emergency landing, and the first person she called at the time, was Taylor Hawkins.

Sadly, on March 25, Hawkins was found dead in his hotel room in Bogota, Colombia, hours ahead of the band’s scheduled performance.

Cyrus dedicated her performance to Hawkins and performed to packed crowds, which also led her to get a Covid infection.

She tweeted, “I have Covid now but it was definitely worth it.”

Twitter is mad at her, for the tone-deaf comment, because the pandemic took so many lives and is nothing to laugh about.
