Twitter has a new CEO!

Jack Dorsey, who co-founded the social media giant in 2006, is resigning.

He served as the CEO of Twitter from 2006-2008, and from 2015 – 2021.

Dorsey released a statement on Monday, November 29.

The statement read, “I’ve decided to leave Twitter because I believe the company is ready to move on from its founders.”

He did not go into further detail as to why he was resigning.

Twitter’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Parag Agrawal, will take over Dorsey’s duties immediately.

This marks a MAJOR shift in the company’s executive level.

Some believe mega-Republicans ousted Dorsey, because he banned a sitting President from the platform.
