Troy Kotsur is finally being recognized for his work.

Earlier in the award season, he won a BAFTA, SAG, and Critics Choice Award.

As of Sunday night, he officially added Oscar winner to his growing list of accolades.

He is the first Deaf male actor to win the award in the show’s 94-year history.

He is also only the second Deaf actor to win the golden trophy.

“CODA” costar Marlee Matlin was the first to win in 1987 for “Children of a Lesser God.”

“CODA” was also nominated for best adapted screenplay and best picture.

It won both.

Sunday night was a huge win for the Deaf community.
