Travis Barker is paying his respects to the late Taylor Hawkins.
Hawkins was the drummer of the Foo Fighters.
Barker shared a black-and-white photo of him on Instagram.
“I don’t have the words,” Barker began. “Sad to write this or to never see you again.”
He said he first met Hawkins when he had been touring with
Alanis Morissette
.
Hawkins did two tours with Alanis before he joined the Foo Fighters for their third album.
Barker recalled how Hawkins used to watch him play in dive bars and told him he’d be a star.
Barker said that Hawkins “gave me so much hope and determination.”
“To say I’ll miss you my friend isn’t enough,” he concluded.
