No, you didn’t actually watch Tom Cruise practicing his swing or playing guitar!

Actor Miles Fisher has gained over 3 million followers on TikTok for his Tom Cruise impersonations.

He partnered up with visual effects specialist Chris Umé to use deepfake technology to look like the actor.

The duo are able to create the videos in only five to six days.

Now, the two are joining up to create a deepfake company called Metaphysic.

Although Congress has previously debated the technology, they believe it to be “morally neutral.”

“As it develops, the positive output will so far outweigh the negative, nefarious uses,” Fisher said.

They want to use the technology in order to create identity rights.

So far, Tom Cruise has not asked them to stop the parody videos, which are currently unmonetized.
