“Funny Girl” ticket prices have skyrocketed with the news that Lea Michele would be the new Fanny Bryce.

Michele replaced Beanie Feldstein as the show’s production team decided to take a new direction.

She will resume on September 6th, and the most expensive tickets currently go for $2500.

The show was very successful in April, grossing about $1.2 million per week, per the Broadway League.

It went down to about $700,000, and fans started to lose interest.

Many believed that the decline in sales made the production team take a new direction with the show.

It was Michele’s dream to revive “Funny Girl” long before she was given the role.

Ticket sales for the show increased noticeably after the announcement of Michele as Fanny.

Michele left the spotlight in 2020 after her ex-costar accused her of traumatic microaggressions.
