“The Simpsons” just made history… again.

It’s the longest unscripted animated TV series in history.

Last week, it featured its first Deaf actor, John Autry II.

It also featured the very first use of ASL on the series.

The show was season 33, episode 17, “The Sounds of Bleeding Gums.”

Lisa meets the son of her late music idol, Monk, who happens to be deaf.

Lisa wants to help Monk find a cochlear implant to help him hear.

However, she’s humbled when she realizes he is just fine as he is.

The show also partnered with No Limits for the episode, a non-profit organization that provides resources for Deaf children.
