Taylor Swift just broke Shania Twain’s 97-week record on the country album charts!

Swift has become the female artist with the most weeks spent in #1 on the Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.

Swift’s albums have now spent 99 weeks on the charts, beating Shania Twain’s record of 97 weeks.

Shania Twain took to Twitter on Thursday to congratulate Swift on the achievement!

“Let’s Go Girls!!!!” she wrote. “Proud of you @taylorswift.”

“Historical records are meant to be made and then broken,” she continued.

“The baton is meant to be passed on to new generations,” she added.

“Unstoppable young female country artists are [fire emoji] in spite of the hurdles #trailblazers.”

Swift is still behind Garth Brooks (169 weeks), Alabama (125 weeks), and Willie Nelson (106 weeks).
