Taylor Hawkins’ death was announced on Friday night.

He was 50 years old.

The band did not include a cause of death in their statement.

Oliver Taylor Hawkins was born on February 17, 1972.

He was the drummer for Alanis Morrissette on two tours.

He joined the Foo Fighters on their third album, 1999’s “Nothing Left to Lose.”

He stayed with them on the rest of their albums, including their latest “Dream Window.”

In late 2021, they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by Paul McCartney.

He also appeared in the Foo Fighters movie “Studio 666,” which was released earlier this year.
