Apparently, the character of Zeus almost had a British accent!

Russell Crowe plays Zeus in Taika Waititi’s “Thor: Love and Thunder.”

Waititi told Insider the two stars talked “at length” about the accent.

Crowe felt it was only right for Zeus to have a Greek accent.

However, Waititi felt that audiences might prefer a British accent.

In 1981, Laurence Oliver played Zeus with a British accent in “Clash of the Titans.”

Eventually, it came down to test audiences, who preferred the Greek accent.

Waititi revealed that he made Russell do two takes in each scene to decide.

In the end, though, Waititi admitted, “Russell was right all along.”
