Fans are not happy with what Steven Spielberg said about “Squid Game.”

Last weekend, the director was at the PGA Awards panel.

He praised Netflix for including “unknown actors” in their projects.

He said that “a long time ago” it was “domestic stars” that drew in audiences.

Today, he said that “interesting, unknown people” could be stars too.

He said that “Squid Game” “changes the math entirely for all of us.”

He thanked Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos by name.

However, many fans noted that the “Squid Game” stars already had exhaustive acting careers in Korea.

Many fans slammed Spielberg’s take as “ignorant.”
