Who wants to pay $20 dollars for a blue Twitter checkmark?

Not horror master Stephen King!

He took issue with Musk’s plan in a sharply worded tweet on Monday afternoon.

“$20 a month to keep my blue check?” he asked.

“If that gets instituted, I’m gone like Enron,” he added.

When one user said he could afford it, King responded, “It ain't the money, it's the principal of the thing.”

Musk later responded, “We need to pay the bills somehow!”

“Twitter cannot rely entirely on advertisers. How about $8?” he asked.

Musk later called it “the only way to defeat the bots & trolls.”
