“The Shining” axe has found a new home.
A buyer won the axe at an auction among 12 prospective buyers.

of GottenHaveRockandRoll broke the news to TMZ.
They revealed that the axe was sold for $175K dollars.
That included the buyer’s premium of $35K.
The axe had previously been sold for $61K.
Jack Nicolson wields the axe in the iconic scene in 1980’s “The Shining.”
He uses the axe to break down a door with Shelly Duvall’s character hiding inside.
He sticks his face in the door and shouts, “Here’s Johnny!”
