Recently, Netflix aired a true-crime documentary titled “The Tinder Swindler” which has climbed the popularity charts.

The documentary centers around Israeli man Shimon Hayut, who posed as Simon Leviev on Tinder.

He claimed to be the son of diamond mogul Lev Leviev and managed to charm the money from many women.

His MO was simple. First, he’d take a woman he matched with Tinder out on a lavish date, impressing her with his lifestyle.

Then he’d make a story about how he was in danger, going as far as posting pictures of his bleeding bodyguard.

After concocting a story about how he could not use his credit card or account, he’d ask the women to open a line of credit for him.

Once the money was his, he’d threaten, cajole or ghost the women, and they’d never see him or the money ever again.

Leviev has given an interview, denying he’s the Tinder Swindler, even though he spent five months in prison for the same and has been banned from Tinder as well.

Now, he wants a career in Hollywood, begins perhaps with a  dating show, where women vie for his love.
