Sean Penn‘s trip to Ukraine and his on-foot march towards Poland for safety have only increased his ire against Russia.
After his trip and meeting with President Zelenskyy, Penn attributed him for uniting Ukraine in its entirety to fight against Russia.
Penn’s non-profit organization, co-founded with Ann Lee, CORE, is in Poland right now, helping refugees from Ukraine.
He has also been making repeated requests for donations and more on his social media pages for the world to help Ukraine.
The 61-year-old Oscar winner feels this is not enough, and he wants to go back to Ukraine to do more.
While he’s not sure what he can do, the situation unfolding makes him angry enough to want to fight Russia on ground zero.
Said the actor, “The only possible reason for me staying in Ukraine longer last time would’ve been for me to be holding a rifle, probably without body armor.”
He feels he would rather give that body armor to a Ukrainian civilian with better fighting skills.
Penn also said, “My intention is to go back into Ukraine. But I’m not an idiot, I am not certain what I can offer.”
