One little sea turtle got acupuncture to help it feel better!

A sea turtle named Bassoon arrived in Baltimore’s National Aquarium in November.

He had been stranded in Cape Cod along with 29 other turtles.

He was cold-stunned, meaning he was suffering from experiencing colder temperatures than he was used to.

The sea turtle underwent a CT scan and was diagnosed with myositis of the jaw.

They started giving him localized anti-inflammatory injections and physical therapy.

Part of his recovery process included acupuncture over several weeks.

Unfortunately, Bassoon is not able to be released back into the wild just yet.

He contracted pneumonia, for which he is currently receiving treatment.
