Savannah Chrisley is struggling to fill her mother’s shoes.

Julie and Todd Chrisley are serving multiple years behind bars in federal prison for bank fraud and tax evasion.

She was given full custody of her 16-year-old brother, Grayson, and 10-year-old niece/adopted daughter, Chloe Chrisley.

This new role as “mom” has been taxing on Savannah.

Savannah described having to try and reason with Chloe about the power of prayer.

“She looked at me with tears just rolling down her face and said, ‘Guess what. I pray all the time. I pray for mom and dad to get home. I pray all day and guess what Sassy, nothing happens. It doesn’t work.’”

“I feel so defeated. I don’t feel adequate enough for this job. I am not my mother,” Savannah said.

On a lighter note, both Todd and Julie are doing “pretty good.”

Todd Chrisley is working in the prison chapel and Julie is playing spades with other inmates.
