On Friday night, the world lost yet another legendary musician to the bottomless pit of drugs.
Taylor Hawkins, 50, is survived by his wife, three children, and his ‘devastated’ band, Foo Fighters.
Hawkins was found with marijuana, opioids, tricyclic antidepressants, and benzodiazepines in his system, for a total of 10 drugs and medicines.
The Colombian AG confirmed the same, as they investigates the cause of death.
Later, an enlarged heart, almost double that of a normal human males’ pointed to a cardiovascular collapse.
Hawkins had issues with drugs for years and had overdosed on heroin in 2001, slipping into a two-week coma.
He later spoke about the incident and dubbed it a wake-up call, for him to get some balance in his life.
He also admitted that he “loved doing drugs” and said that he had a system that worked for him.
Sadly, some words of his proved prophetic, when he said, “there’s no happy ending to drugs.” And there wasn’t, for him.
