Burgi tested positive for COVID-19 around Christmas after visiting family.

He followed the CDC’s recommendation isolation time of five days.

He didn’t realize the show has a stricter isolation policy of ten days.

He tested negative twice at the studio, but he still broke their strict policy.

As a result, they fired him from the show.

His character, Ashland Locke, has already been replaced by Robert Newman.

Burgi was gracious and wished the actor “a wonderful time.”

He says he has nothing “but good memories and good wishes” for the show.
