“The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” hit theaters on Friday, April 22.

In the film, Nicolas Cage plays a fictionalized version of himself.

At one point, it had a 100% certified fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

On Friday morning, that number had dropped to 89%.

However, the audience rating still remained high at 92%.

Many critics dubbed the film “watchable” and “amusing.”

However, those who weren’t fans of Nic Cage didn’t enjoy the references.

Many commented on the increasing emergence of meta-movies.

Those who do like Cage’s work, however, enjoyed this film.
