The rabbi who was held hostage on Saturday is speaking out.

He revealed that the gunman knocked on the door early Saturday morning.

The rabbi thought he was a homeless person seeking shelter.

Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker invited him in and even made him tea!

He talked to the man prior to the service.

It wasn't until the service that the man pulled out his gun.

He and three others were held hostage for around 11 hours.

Finally, the rabbi put his life on the line to allow the hostages to escape.

He threw a chair at the gunman, which allowed them to get away.
