R. Kelly

Found GUILTY of Racketeering and Sex Trafficking The Singer Faces Life In Prison For Numerous Charges

The singer was found guilty of all nine counts of racketeering and sex-trafficking charges against him on September 27.

He was also found guilty of violating the Mann Act, which prohibits the transport of “any woman or girl” across state lines for any “immoral" purpose.

The 'Times reports that Kelly now faces the possibility of decades in prison after being found guilty of being the ringleader of a decades-long scheme to recruit women and underage girls for sex.

The felonious side of Kelly was documented in a multi-part Netflix series titled, “Surviving R. Kelly.”

Back in August, the singer asked to have his herpes-related crimes dropped. However, it does not appear those charges were included in his guilty verdict.

Federal prosecutors charged Kelly with exposing two people to the STD back in March of 2020. At the time, the charges were added to the laundry list of others.

While every charge needs to be addressed, the guilty verdict represents the lion's share and the biggest of all the charges.
