Quinta Brunson has found herself in legal trouble over “Abbott Elementary.”

Brunson and ABC were recently sued for copyright Infringement

Christine Davis, the plaintiff, accused them of stealing the idea of the hit sitcom.

She claimed “Abbott Elementary” is a “knock-off “of her own show, “This School Year.”

Davis alleges that both shows are extremely similar in plot and character storylines.

She reportedly registered her show at the copyright office in 2018.

Davis is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages and jury trial.

She wants Brunson and ABC to turn over all profits made from the show.

The lawsuit comes after the show earned seven Emmy nominations.
