Fans of “Harry Potter” are familiar with Quidditch.

However, they may not be too familiar with the sport played IRL.

The sport is played in at least over 40 countries.

There are an estimated 600 teams that compete from around the globe.

However, author J.K. Rowling has come under fire for her anti-trans remarks.

As a result, last December, U.S. Quidditch and Major League Quidditch announced a rebrand.

On Tuesday, they said that they are changing their name from “Quidditch” to “Quadball.”

They are doing so in the hopes that Quadball can remain inclusive and open to everyone.

The names of the balls and positions will stay the same, but might change at a later date.
