Quentin Tarantino recently criticized the current era of films and said it’s one of the “worst in Hollywood history.”

Tarantino has been creating feature-length movies since the 80s and criticized other the 50s and 80s film eras.

He explained that many original movies came out, were “demanded to be seen at the theaters,” and stood up to the blockbusters.

Tarantino has previously criticized popular film franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, James Bond, and Star Wars.

He once said that he believed that auteur directors are warring against blockbuster studio franchises.

The director also recently stated that he doesn’t want to make any superhero movies.

Tarantino recently stated that he wouldn’t work with Marvel or DC as he’s not a “hired hand.”

Several other iconic filmmakers, like Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola, have also heavily criticized the superhero film genre.

Scorsese, the director of “The Irishman,” criticized Marvel films, saying they’re “not cinema.”
