Queen Elizabeth has withdrawn from attending the second day of celebrations for her platinum jubilee on the throne.

The withdrawal comes not long after the Palace’s confirmation of her mobility problems.

The Queen is reluctant to miss the festivities, but Prince Charles will represent her at the ceremony.

The decision to skip the ceremony was due to the discomfort she experienced during Thursday’s celebrations.

Despite her poor health, Queen Elizabeth will still participate in the beacon ceremony on Thursday evening.

Prince William will light up the first beacon outside Buckingham Palace, just as the Queen touches a globe in her home.

She appeared on the famous Royal Balcony of Buckingham Palace to launch the celebrations with most of her family.

The Royal Navy and Air Force performed their flypast, formed a number 70 in the sky, and streamed national colours.

Queen Elizabeth has changed her work schedule and reduced appearances due to her declining health.
