On Friday, the Supreme Court decided to overthrow Roe v. Wade in a 6-3 decision.

The 1973 landmark ruling gave women a right to safe medical abortions.

However, that decision has now been overturned.

It is now up to states to decide whether abortion will be allowed.

Over twenty states have trigger laws to ban abortion already waiting for this decision.

President Joe Biden called it “a sad day for the country.”

He said that the “health of life” and women are now “at risk.”

“The court laid out state laws criminalizing abortion that go back to the 1800s of rationale,” Biden said.

“The court is literally taking American back 150 years,” he added.
