Pete Davidson has been announced as the male lead in Miramax's new movie, "The Home."

The 28-year-old comedian will embrace a much darker character in the horror flick.

The producers of the upcoming movie are Miramax's Bill Block and Sebastian K. Lemercier.

James DeMonaco, the creator of "The Purge" franchise, shall direct the film.

The screenplay would also be written by DeMonaco and Adam Canto.

This upcoming thriller would be a new achievement for Davidson.

Back in 2016, the "Big Time Adolescence" star made Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

However, Davidson doesn't have it easy as he struggles with Crohn's disease and borderline personality disorder.

The 28-year-old comedian may host the upcoming Oscars.
