“The Beatles” musician Paul McCartney is paying tribute to the late Queen.

Queen Elizabeth II passed away at age 96 on Thursday, September 8.

Many celebrities took to social media to remember the times they had met her.

On his website, Paul went into detail on the “eight or nine” times they met and spoke.

After she passed, he recalled how his “memories came flooding back.”

“I feel privileged to have been alive during the whole of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign,” he recalled.

He recalled watching her Coronation on a black-and-white TV set in 1953.

“Looking back I am honoured and amazed to see that I met Her Majesty eight or nine times,” he recalled.

He added, “each time she impressed me with her great sense of humour combined with great dignity.”
