Normani has been cast to star in an Oakland-centered thriller set in the 80s.

The movie, "Freaky Tales" was written and directed by Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden from "Captain Marvel."

The film is inspired by Fleck's experience in the bay growing up and will feature distinct characters, real-life locations, and notable historical events.

Apart from the singer, other big industry names like Ben Mendelsohn and Jay Ellis will star in the movie financed and co-produced by eOne alongside MACRO Film Studio.

The "Wild Side" singer also starred as a video vixen in Chris Brown's latest single, "Warm Embrace."

The video was directed by Arrad and featured some sexy choreography as they danced seductively with chemistry.

Fans disapproved of the collaboration because of his past allegations concerning the abuse of women.

The "Love Lies" singer was part of a famous girl group formed during the 2012 X-Factor competition before disbanding in 2018.

She took to her Instagram story to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the group with some throwback pictures.
