Nina Dobrev just won Best Director at the Mammoth Film Festival.

She made her directorial debut with “The One.”

In an Instagram post, she revealed that she was “incredibly humbled and honored to win.”

“The whole festival circuit has been such an exciting experience!” she added.

She thanked everyone for their “kind words of support for this first time film maker.”

In an interview with Collider, Dobrev revealed that she always wanted to direct.

She said she asked “The Vampire Diaries” creators for a chance to direct.

“I was one of the only people that didn’t get to direct,” she noted.

She added, “I knew that it was something I wanted to do, for a very long time.”
