Nicole Kidman shocked theatergoers by carrying out a charitable act while attending The Music Man" Broadway production.

The production stars the actress' longtime friend, Hugh Jackman.

The 56-year-old made a $100,000 bid for part of the "Wolverine" star's hat, which he wore for his role.

Jackman expressed his appreciation for Kidman's support in a post on his Instagram page.

The money she donated will go to a nonprofit organization to help aid less privileged Americans.

Kidman was chosen as the next awardee of the AFI Life Achievement Award for her contribution to film and television.

She is the first Australian to achieve this feat.

The "Northman" star has also won numerous awards, including six Golden Globes, one BAFTA, two Emmys, and one Oscar.

She will star in and produce "Expats," "Pretty Things," "Hope," and "Things I Know To Be True."
