On Tuesday, Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement from the NFL.

Tom Brady was one of the first people to comment on the news.

“Having Gronk in your locker room was every NFL players dream,” he wrote.

Kyle Van Noy tweeted, “Congrats on retirement @RobGronkowski !! Much love homie.”

Cade Otton called Gronk “the best to ever do it.”

He added, “Thanks for making it cool to be a tight end!”

Sportscaster Sara Walsh also posted a touching tribute on Twitter.

“The stat sheets don’t measure laughs, but we know he’d be Hall of Fame in that category too,” she wrote.

She added, “Thanks always for the entertainment 87.”
