Elon Musk seems to have a supporter in Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings.

Hastings recently spoke at the New York Times DealBook conference.

He called Musk “the bravest, most creative person on the planet.”

Hastings claimed that Musk is trying to do “good for the planet.”

He also said that Musk “believes in free speech and the powers of democracy.”

Hastings alleged that people are being too “picky” about the blue checkmark controversy.

“Can you give the guy a break?” Hastings asked Twitter users.

“This guy just spent all this money trying to make things better for democracy and society,” Hastings added.

He also said that he was “sympathetic” to Musk’s “agenda.”
