Neil Patrick Harris has one major regret that he’s now speaking out about.

The “How I Met Your Mother” actor is kicking himself for an insensitive joke he and his husband made over 11 years ago.

Harris and his husband, David Bertka, hosted a Halloween party in 2011 with a massive guest list of A-listers.

Months prior to their “Monster Mash,” Grammy-winning singer, Amy Winehouse, tragically passed away from alcohol poisoning on July 23, 2011.

Harris and Burtka thought it would be funny to have a deceased corpse made to resemble Amy Winehouse for their Halloween party.

What they chose to do with the corpse was downright horrific.

They used the corpse, which had a black beehive hairdo and a cigarette hanging out of its mouth, as a buffet platter to serve food on.

He issued a statement: “A photo recently resurfaced from a Halloween-themed party my husband and I hosted 11 years ago. It was regrettable then, and it remains regrettable now.”

He continued, “Amy Winehouse was a once-in-a-generation talent, and I'm sorry for any hurt this image caused."
