On Thursday, NBC gave season 2 of “American Auto” the green light.

The network also renewed “Grand Crew” and a third season of “Young Rock.”

“American Auto” has failed to impress all audiences.

It only has a 51% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Many expected more laughs from “Superstore” creator Justin Spitzer.

Spitzer had previously opened up about the future of network comedies.

“It’s not like it was with the Cheers era, Seinfeld, Friends,” he said. “It’s a different era.”

Some viewers criticized the “flat and empty” characters.

Hopefully, a second season will prove that “American Auto” is not just a lemon.
