“Moon Knight” comic book writer Alan Zelenetz is speaking out.

He created the character of Moon Knight, AKA Marc Spencer.

In the comic books, Marc Spencer is Jewish.

However, Oscar Isaac, who has been cast in the lead role, is not.

Although some fans have taken issue with it, Zelenetz has not.

“And Arthur Harrow won’t be the character I created. So what?” Zelenetz asked.

He said that Marvel is “certainly not bound by any origins” of the comic book.

“If he’s not Jewish because there’s a good artistic reason he’s not Jewish, that’s perfectly OK,” he said.

He concluded with a succinct message: “I don’t care.”
