Mark Wahlberg revealed he had to change churches severally because people were always pitching him movie ideas.

Ironically, one of such movie idea pitches inspired his latest movie, Father Stu.

Wahlberg revealed that all he wanted in the church was to worship with some peace and quiet.

It is no surprise that people would be pitching to him, considering his fame as an actor.

A priest at his parish told him about the story of Father Long, and it inspired his latest movie.

He said the priest was the last person he’d expect to pitch to him, but the story turned out to be extraordinary.

Wahlberg starred in, produced, and almost entirely self-financed the movie after years of development issues.

He was inspired by famous director Mel Gibson, who also featured as Father Long’s father in the film.

Wahlberg said he is building a production company so he can produce more faith-based movies.
