Mark Hoppus first shared the news of his cancer diagnosis in June, but it wasn’t intentional.

The Blink-182 co-lead vocalist opened up about accidentally telling the world.

He recalled that the photo he shared during chemotherapy on his Instagram story was meant for just his close friends.

However, he pressed the wrong button, sharing the image with his over 1 million followers.

The renowned bassist told GQ Magazine that he didn’t share the news on purpose.

“It kind of felt like a Band-Aid had been ripped off and I was able to be honest with people,” Hoppus confessed.

However, after a four-month-long battle, Hoppus is finally cancer-free.

He shared the wonderful news in September via a touching social media post.

During Thanksgiving, he looked back at his chemotherapy treatments with a tear-jerking throwback photo.
