On Monday, Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion dollars.

That afternoon, Mark Hamill tweeted that he was sticking with the site.

However, many users threatened to quit the social media service.

Mark tweeted that he had lost more than 8,000 followers after his first tweet.

“Was it something I said?” he asked.

He RTed his comment from Neera Tanden, who lost 2,000 followers.

Kevin M. Kruse said that he lost 1,500 followers.

“Star Wars” author Chuck Wendig said he lost over 1,000 accounts.

It’s unclear if people are deleting their accounts or if these are bot accounts that are being deleted.
